last month i had a conversation with a ‘fan’ of my blog, a gentleman from cambridge university. huw and i spoke about ‘eskimo power’ and it was an excellent chance for me to get some objective feedback about the blog. there were two messages that really stuck out and resonated with me. quality control and big picture items.
quality control. for the most part, i am mindful about the content of the posts (the quality). there’s no one around that tells me what to post or what NOT to post, so i’m the gatekeeper for content. i will do my best to post items that are tasteful and not so offensive (peta need not apply here).
huw also encouraged me to blog about ‘big picture’ topics. yes, the pictures are great and the immediacy of the subject matter is awesome, but i should post items that reach out to more people. i agree. if leadership is on my long term plans, i will try to add ‘deeper’ topics that more people can relate to.
eskimo power. eskimo power. eskimo power.
