there are two things i did this week that i don’t normally do. one, i got a pedicure and two, i bought $180 jeans.
pedicure? isn’t that for girls? yes, it is for girls, but i needed to get my toe nails clipped. i felt pampered, it was great to get tlc for my feet, and its safe for me to say that is not the last time i’m getting one. one of my facebook friends commented, “No defender of the second amendment gets a pedicure. It is just not done.” well, i have and i will. that’s just me.
$180 jeans? you gotta love diesel jeans. they’re my second pair and probably not my last.
and, all this is coming from a simple man, a hunter—a blood thirsty savage. yes sir.
i have to say 2010 has been a good year so far. it’s been just 10 and a half months into it, but its been good to me. i’ve experienced my ups and downs this year and learning alot along the way.
this year, i was given a clean bill of heath to date, paid off my personal bank loan, bought my woman a sno-go and myself a couple small sleds, visited my family in bethel a few times, and landed a role that may change my future means of making a living.
i’m happy for good health, a loving and supportive woman, a supportive family, well-mannered children, a few great friends, and a good job. i’m counting my blessings. yes i am. counting my blessings.
vote for scott mcadams for senate on november 2. in a little over two weeks, alaska’s senator will be chosen. right now, it is imperative that we educate the voters on which candidate will best serve ruralalaska. alaska nativeshave to vote for scott mcadams.
no senatorial candidate has ever won a senate race on a write-in campaign, so statistically-speaking, lisa will not win. her supporters want to make history and hope that she beatsjoe miller, a tea-party-sarah-palin-endorsed candidate (that does not care for alaska native people), but that’s not going to happen. a vote for lisa is a vote for joe. is this what you want?
as alaskans, as alaska natives, we have to make an informed and intelligent decision on november 2. i am voting for scott mcadams for senate on november 2. you should too.
KOTZEBUE, ALASKA; this week i purchased unleaded gasoline at our local gas station. it costs $6.74 a gallon for unleaded gasoline. i paid $47.44 for 7.03 gallons of unleaded gasoline.
now, that’s expensive. i don’t like to hear city folk in anchoragebitch and complain about the cost of gasoline over there. anchoragegasoline is soooo cheap!
so, to the bitchers and complainers of anchorage: rural alaska pays alot more than you—you have it lucky. don’t bitch and complain about the cost of gasoline in anchorage. thank you. thanka….thanka very much (think johnny cash).
yesterday on the plane i saw a bunch high school girls flying into anchorage. i believe it was their volleyball team? anyway, i saw their coach who acts more like a student than a coach. i’ve seen her in action at the high school too, and its kind of funny to see her act more like the most popular high school girl. if you’re a coach, act like a coach.
