count your blessings, not the ‘headaches’
i tried to get on the early morning anchorage-kotzebue alaska airlines flight yesterday, flight 151. since i fly space-available, i was ‘bumped’ and had to wait 4/5 hours for the next flight, flight 152. i was bugged.
feelings of unluckiness and uneasiness overwhelmed my conscious as i sat on one of the airport benches.
i opened up my laptop and signed into facebook. i read a friend’s post saying she was happy to be alive and with family. this is a friend who is currently battling pancreatic cancer and very happy to be with family.
my ill feelings toward my current predicament quickly faded and i was happy to chill at concourse c7 and wait for the next flight.
